A gospel concert recorded LIVE through a Digidesign Venue DShow console into Pro Tools HD, later mixed in Pro Tools HD with the audio cut and edited in Final Cut HD. Various microphones included multiple AKG C451’s and C460’s, a couple Royer R121’s, an SF24, a pair of Earthworks TC30’s, Neumann KM184’s and many others. Recorded and mixed for LIVE TELEVISION BROADCAST, this is a clip from a song of that concert where I used Pro Tools HD to both track and mix the tv feed---this is a live mix, not re-mixed in the studio.

This sample clip recorded in my own studio with Pro Tools HD is demonstrating the sound of the FOCUSRITE ISA828 8-ch mic-pre on Kick, Snare, and Toms using the Audix DP5 drum mic-kit. The kick drum is a BLUE MOUSE, while the overheads are a pair of EARTHWORKS TC30’s through a PRESONUS ADL600 mic-pre.

Recorded LIVE, this Choral A Cappella recording was made with a single ROYER SF24 stereo ribbon microphone and a pair of EARTHWORKS TC30’s for the audience. The use and space of these microphones captures all of the ambience you hear, this is a totally raw recording through a PRESONUS DIGIMAX LT into Pro Tools HD.

Recorded on location, this is the stereo 2-bus mix off of an Allen & Heath iLive console. Additional pres used include a pair of PRESONUS ADL600’s, FOCUSRITE RED8, and a few PRESONUS DIGIMAX 96’s.
